I got into fitness after years of not caring about my diet or health, in which I had low energy and high amounts of stress. I had been burnt out as a former athlete, and I used to think of working out as a chore until I was lucky enough to meet a group of friends who had mastered weightlifting and dieting. They took me under their wing, and I learned to love lifting and even cardio, to the point that exercise and the accompanying lifestyle changes became a passionate hobby. I didn’t work out because someone was making me, but because I loved the way it made me feel, how it made me look, and the way that it drained away emotional stress. Then I trained other friends informally and realized that I could make this my job. I want to show people how satisfying it is to make foods that are yummy, filling, and nutritious, and how the soreness and struggle are temporary obstacles that disappear over time. Together we can replace bad habits with good habits, and you can make lasting changes.
Thomas's mantra
There are many good teachers online, and many bad ones too. By relying on my genuine obsession with finding the best information about nutrition and fitness, clients can be sure they aren’t wasting their time, and are free to pursue their own goals and interests instead. Unlike other personal trainers, I am also in graduate school training to be a therapist, and my knowledge of social and motivational psychology is an asset. My positivity and work ethic help to provide the ideal environment.
