My Mission

My sister inspired me because she was a personal trainer and she taught me the importance of lifting weights. This was at a time when women were lifting what we call 'pink dumbbells' - the little weights you used to do a ton of reps. I learned that I could lift heavier weights and get stronger without looking like a bodybuilder. I wanted to be able to share that with my clients...the importance of lifting weights and not just doing cardio all the time, which was pretty common then. I love when my clients see and feel their progress. During the workout, it may feel hard and confusing, but as you keep going you begin to connect with your body in a whole new way. I love helping people gain that confidence and see them realize they're much more capable than they think they are. It's a powerful feeling and it only adds to a person's self-esteem and self-efficacy.

I love helping clients figure out goals, tell them exactly what they need to do, and motivate them.

My background

I've been a trainer for more than 20 years and have worked with a wide variety of clients at different fitness levels and goals. My job is to meet clients where they are and help them succeed.

My favorite healthy food is salmon. It has plenty of omega-3 fatty acids and it tastes so good!

I think kale is one of the worst foods I've ever eaten. I'm sure it's made of rubber. :-)
