I want to empower others to understand their body and how everything works together from a mind-body perspective. What we put into our body effects how our body can work for us or against us. We have to listen to our body's and appreciate what communication it provides us and also determine how we are going to respond to this communication. Everything is connected from the foot to the head and it is my job to show people how movement effects their entire body. Moving efficiently is the key to avoiding injury and maintaining joint health. I have had two hip surgeries and countless PT, Chiro, Acupuncture, injection and massage. It was not until I learned how my body should be moving and to no longer fear movement, that I started feeling better and taking control over my own body and pain. I want to show others that we can all bend, squat, lift, carry with the proper tools and the proper mindset.
Katie's mantra
I have honed my skills as a movement specialist. Having watched people move in a clinical setting, I have found most people are not moving efficiently. I am highly aware and perceptive in terms of faulty movements that are likely leading to other poor movement patterns and eventually injury and pain. If people are looking for quality movement and efficiency and looking to avoid future injury then I would be the perfect trainer for them.
