After my second child was born, I hired a trainer. My goal was to lose the last 10 pounds of baby weight that I couldn't get off. For the first time in my life, I was committed to my fitness goals. I strength trained with my trainer and did cardio on my own. I lost the 10 pounds. But I gained something that would change my life forever. One day as I was in the middle of a seemingly never-ending set of burpees, she told me she thought I'd missed my calling as an athlete. I was shocked. What? ME??? She encouraged me to leave my comfort zone. I signed up for a 5k .The day after the race I was shocked to receive an email to pick up my trophy for coming in second in my age group. Within a year I ran my first marathon. Later that year I ran my second and qualified for the Boston Marathon. 8 full marathons later, I am forever grateful to my trainer for challenging me. For supporting me. For encouraging me. This is why I do this for a living. I want to help you discover the athlete in you.
