In that 20+ years of training people, I have learned that the best workouts are the ones people do. Accountability is where the true value of having a trainer comes in. Let's face it there are going to be days where you would rather sit on the couch, a trainer helps get you over that slump. And let's face it no one ever finishes a workout upset that they did a workout. I believe that consistency is greater than intensity. Everyone starts their fitness journey thinking they have to push themselves to absolute exhaustion every single day. This is a great way to burn yourself out, being a fit person means you understand that consistency > intensity.
