We only have one go at life and it’s trying to kill us, so why not attack it! At a young age, I was obese and it came with all the limitations. After losing weight the conventional way I wondered if there was a better way to enjoy physical activity but not in the indoor setting. That’s when I was introduced to outdoor activities, such as rock climbing, ski mountaineering, cycling, and multi-day sports. On top of regular weightlifting, cardio, and corrective exercises, I was doing physical activity that I quickly learned to love! Engaging in fun activities improved my physical fitness but also my mental and emotional health. So, my goal is to help clients find something they can do regularly to facilitate their enjoyment and overall success. My framework utilizes the connection between the mind and body. If one aspect is lacking then the other will be affected and ultimately hindered. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are limited if your health is jeopardized.
Issah's mantra
Through behavioral change and mindfulness I was able to lose 60 lbs. I have a plethora of knowledge and experience around corrective exercises, diet, mindfulness, and outdoor recreation. I love passing down my experiences to individuals looking to grow and learn! My focus is determining imbalances and addressing those before progressing to promote consistency and results! I received my Master of Public Health and a BA in Psychology, both with a focus on Community and Behavioral Health
