    Why Train With Me

    I have a very specific philosophy that can help beginners and experienced exercises feel more comfortable with the experience: -Health first. Aesthetics will follow. People who chase aesthetics first and health secondarily rarely make progress last, and if they do, they feel miserable and obsessive. Look at a bodybuilder’s lifestyle and see what the result of chasing aesthetics does: produces times of extremes that only result in satisfaction for a season. Not making your appearance the 1st priority can make your journey so much easier because you are taking the pressure off yourself to be perfect and staying in the moment. If you are getting healthier, you will naturally begin to look better because that is supposed to be your natural state of being. Using health as a priority will make it last because focusing too much on your appearance will make you preoccupied with impatient attitudes and thoughts that will give you the propensity to give up. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Focusing on aesthetics as just a bonus to your regimen will improve your consistency because you will be doing this journey out of care for yourself, not criticism, and one day you will look up from all this hard work and be amazed at your progress. What is healthy for you? -Love the journey. Don’t beat yourself up. That is the only way to sustain your progress. Think back to the times you exercised only “because I hate my thighs” or to fit into a certain outfit. Was that sustainable? Did you feel good emotionally during those workouts? Did your results stick? Probably not. You probably just felt crappy about yourself afterwards and sabotaged yourself with food anyways out of discouragement. And We want you to feel good about your body not just for a season, but consistently, and that starts with taking the focus off of your body and onto this journey. As long as you have a body, you have a responsibility for taking care of it. You need to love the journey because you only have 1 body and you have to deal with it for the rest of your life. -Having a support network and accountability on a health journey helps with maintaining changes. Doing things by yourself can sometimes be lonely and less effective for sustaining healthy changes. Having a trainer can give you the motivation to stay on track and to share challenges with. -Fitness should feel liberating. You want to work out for YOU. Seeing how far you can progress and watching both your body and mind transform through consistent exercise frees you from mental and emotional roadblocks that are impeding your journey. Emotional agility. You will be amazed by how much stronger your mindset, emotional threshold for stress, and body strengthens. -Healthy eating should feel liberating. Once you feel the improvement in your energy levels, mood, inflammation, and weight, you will not want to go back to eating in ways that do not serve you. Social pressures and old habits may still make you indulge in foods that make your body feel bad. But it will never give you the same satisfaction as it once did if you have experienced a meal regimen that makes your body feel good and energized.
