Free information might be easily accessible, but just because you see a routine on a blog doesn't mean that it's the most beneficial routine you should be doing. I could create a program that fits a client's needs, even needs that they probably didn't realize were important. A trainer also provides that motivation and support system that doesn't come with free information you'd find online.
